If you’re anything like me, you set a ton of goals at the beginning of the year. Now, as we’re
almost in February, you might be asking yourself, “What can I do to get back in the zone?”
Maybe you’ve forgotten about them or never got around to setting them, but there’s no time like
the present to give yourself the opportunity to accomplish them. Rather than feeling defeated,
think of this as an opportunity to reset and set yourself up for success.
Here are some steps you can take to revisit those goals you set at the beginning of the year:
1. Choose an Area to Focus On in 2025
The first step is to choose a focus area where you want to set goals. Categories might include
health, relationships, finances, career, or personal growth. Write down any goals you have in
mind for each category, and decide where you want to thrive the most in 2025. While setting
each goal, take a moment to write down why this goal is important to you. Understanding the
deeper motivation behind your goals can help you stay committed.
2. Reflect on the Goal and Make an Action Plan
The second step is to reflect on why you set this goal in the first place. Ask yourself:
• Why is this goal important to me?
• Does achieving this goal require something different from the way I’m currently living?
• If so, what needs to change?
Then, create an action plan to make these goals a reality. Break them down into achievable steps.
Remember that reaching your goals takes time and effort—it’s not going to happen overnight. Be
patient with yourself and stay focused on the process.
3. Be Kind to Yourself
Remember that sometimes life gets in the way! When things don’t go as planned, don’t be hard
on yourself. Be kind to yourself and remember that it’s okay if unexpected challenges get in the
way of your goals. Setbacks are a part of every journey. Think of each setback as a learning
moment—a chance to grow and come back even stronger.
